About the Founder
David “Dakota” Moore is a disabled U.S. Army veteran, husband, and father of six who built I-70 Smash & Splash™ from a decade-long vision — a place for people to safely let go, create, and reconnect.
In 2005, Dakota was stationed in Balad, Iraq, breathing in burn pit smoke every day while serving as an EMT and soldier. Years later, those exposures left him fighting for his health and struggling to breathe. By 2020, he was on oxygen full-time — but through recovery, creativity, and family, he found purpose again.
He channeled that experience into something new: a safe, alcohol-free, family-friendly venue where people can laugh, throw paint, break stuff safely, and build art — all under one roof.
Our Mission
To build Colorado’s first full-scale entertainment venue that combines:
Smash Rooms – for stress relief and fun destruction
Splash (UV Paint) Rooms – for creative release and shared experiences
Axe Throwing – precision, focus, and friendly competition
Pottery & Art Studios – creativity and community expression
A Year-Round Haunted Experience – storytelling and theatrical immersion
This project is designed to be accessible, inclusive, and safe for all ages — built by a veteran who knows that healing, family, and laughter belong together.
Community Commitment
I-70 Smash & Splash™ is proudly:
Veteran-Founded and Family-Operated
Alcohol-Free and Drug-Free for guest and staff safety
